Counselor: Jane Haycook
Welcome to St. Louis Public Schools Elementary School Counseling Program. I attended Central Michigan University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. I then received my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been employed with St. Louis Public Schools since 1994.
Counseling services are provided to Kindergarten through fifth grade students. Services offered are small groups including, but not limited to, social skills, friendship, conflict resolution, anger management, selfesteem, grief and family change. These groups are offered to students who are experiencing difficulties that may be interfering with their academics.
As the need arises, students are also seen on an individual basis. Classroom presentations are also provided on an on-going basis.
I truly enjoy working with elementary students and thank you, the parents, for entrusting them with me!
